| Before hanging your wallcovering, it is very important to properly prepare the walls, since this will make your job easier and help ensure pleasing results. |

| Unpainted/New Walls: |
- Remove any switch and outlet plates.
- Make sure drywall (plasterboard) is thoroughly dry.
- Fill in any nail holes or cracks with spackling compound.
- Lightly sand walls to eliminate any imperfections.
- Remove dust by wiping walls with a clean, damp sponge.
- Prime walls with a primer-sealer combination to help the wallcovering adhere and prevent show-through.

| Painted Walls: |
- Remove any switch and outlet plates.
- Wash walls with a mild detergent.
- Fill in any nail holes or cracks with spackling compound.
- Lightly sand walls to eliminate any imperfections.
- Remove dust by wiping walls with a clean, damp sponge.
- Prime walls with a primer-sealer combination to help the wallcovering adhere and prevent show-through.
Note: Glossy or semi-glossy surfaces are too slick for wallcovering to properly adhere.

| Previously Papered Walls |
- Remove any switch and outlet plates.
- Remove existing wallpaper.
- Wash walls with mild detergent to eliminate residual adhesives.
- If walls were not previously primed-sealed, we suggest that you prime and seal the walls to help the wallcovering adhere and prevent show-through.

NOTE:
We recommend priming & sealing the wall 1/4” less than the actual size of the mural. This should eliminate the need to touch-up painted areas. |
